High School Auditions

Thank you for the great job you all did today at auditions.  I apologize for the computer issue, but with the outstanding help of Charlie and Adair Melton and Austin Jesmore, we were able to mitigate the problem relatively quickly.
You have just received your results for the High School All Region Auditions.  I have spent the evening and night since the auditions ended making sure they are all correct, but we may have still missed something.  We tried to make sure all changes with students qualifying on multiple instruments were decided.  Please make sure we have addressed all of the changes concerning those and let me know if there is any additional changes.  At this point they can easily be made and reported, but we need to know quickly.
You will also notice that the results will also show you how much per AREA student you owe to the Region.  I will write a check covering all of that expense and each school reimburses their AREA fees back to the Region.  For some strange reason the Filemaker program printed a “?” instead of the $20 on some results.  If you need me to generate an invoice for your Business Office please let me know and I will be happy to do so.
AREA Auditions are in Chapel Hill on January 12th.  Your forms for each student have already been sent to the next level.
The Coordinators will be handling all of the changes for the seating in the bands, so please contact them ASAP when you know of a conflict so we can inform the next student.

Staff Changes

Directors,

I would like to request again that you send me any staff changes (names, email addresses, phone #, etc.) as soon as possible.  We are putting together judging panels and we need as many names as we can get to fill them out correctly.

Also make sure you list your staff as available when you enter your students.  Our region rules state that all staff must be present and if they are not they must hire a proxy at their cost of $75.

Fees

Please make sure your fees are mailed to the correct address.  I have received checks that have been sent to my school address, my old address, the state office, and from another school that had fees sent to them in West Texas.

Here is the correct address.  It is also printed on your invoice after you enter your students.

Region 4 Middle School South Zone Schedule Change

On Friday November 30th Union Grove will host the South Zone Middle School Auditions once again.

Since that day is a work day for them Brandon and his staff have arranged for us to start the auditions early so we do not have as late of a night as we normally do.

 

Here is the schedule for that day:

12:30 Students and Directors may begin arriving

1:00 Directors meeting in the library

1:30  Begin auditions

I am in the process of updating the email and other contacts for all of the director changes.  If you know of someone that has changed schools, is new, or had a staff change, please have them email me their contact info as soon as possible.  The new way the directories online are printed is making it hard for me to update them like I used to.
