Region Meeting

The annual Fall UIL Region Meeting is this Friday, August 16th at Mt. Pleasant High School.  Since all of our decisions have been made for ATSSB in December and in May, we will not have a meeting at that time.

Our approved calendar is available on the blog, as is the audition material for South Zone, North Zone, and High School Auditions.  Remember that the North Zone approved the use of other material for their auditions in November.  Do not use the South Zone Music for the North Zone Auditions.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Spring Region Meeting

This afternoon is the scheduled TMEA/UIL Region 4 Spring Meeting.  All of our dates, times, and locations have been decided as of last January and there are no changes or decisions to be made concerning these.
We do need to have a brief meeting concerning ATSSB Region 4 North Zone Middle School auditions material. After consulting Kenneth Griffin as to how we proceed with this, here is the way we will handle this:
1.  Since we are  already divided into zones, the North Zone directors (High School and Middle School) will be the ones discussing and voting on this.  Being divided, one zone can not vote on the other zone’s material, according to Mr. Griffin.
2.  The proposed audition material change will be the only thing discussed in this meeting and decided on.  After a discussion a motion and second will need to be presented before any decisions are made to change or not to change the material.
If you have any questions please let me know.

Patches

Directors,
Some of the Wind Ensemble students did not receive their patches.  Please email me the number of patches you need and I will mail them as soon as I receive them.  Sorry about that.
Also,
Thanks for everyone’s help this weekend.  The concerts were fantastic!
